Trường Tiểu học Nguyễn Huệ FUN TIME 1 Lesson 1 (P1,2) I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to: + Identify and read the learnt words + Make a short exchange, using the structures “Hi, I’m _____.” and “I have a _____.” 1. Knowledge : - Letters Cc, Bb; sounds /c/ , /b/ - Words: book, bike, ball, cat, cake, car, cup 2. Competences: - Self-control and independent learning: read and circle the correct words. - Communication and collaboration: pair work or group work. - Critical thinking and creativity: creative in describing the words: book, bike, ball, cat, cake, car, cup. 3. Attitudes: - Kindness: support their friends to complete the learning tasks and play the games. - Diligence: focus on the lesson and work hard to complete all the tasks. - Honesty: play fair. II. RESOURCES AND MATE RIAL: - Flashcards of C/c, B/b, book, bike, ball, cat, cake, car, cup ; sachmem; powerpoint slides. III. PROCEDURE. Pupils’ Procedure Teacher’s activities activities 1.Warm-up ( about 3-5 minutes) * Game: “ Guessing” Whole class 1. Divide class into 2 teams. 2. Say the rules. 3. Have Ps play the game. 4. Give SFs for each correct answer. PRACTICE 2. Activity 1. Find and circle. Then say. (about 10 minutes) GV: Nguyễn Thị Trung An - Năm học 2023 – 2024 1 Trường Tiểu học Nguyễn Huệ a. Goal: To get students to identify and read the words they’ve learnt from Unit 1, Unit 2 b. Input: Context: cross words c. Outcome: Pupils can find out the words and pronouce them correctly. d. Procedure: Step 1: Have pupils look at the pictures and say Whole class the words. Step 2: Ask pupils to look at the word search, Whole class/ find and circle the words in it individually. Individual Step 3: Have pupils exchange their answers in Whole class/ pairs Individual Step 4: Ask them to point to the words and say Whole them class/group/ Individual Step 5: Call some pupils to show the circled Whole class words and say them in front of the class Step 6: Play the recording again and call some Individual pupils to say the letter C/c and the words cat, car, cake, and cup in front of the class. 3. Activity 2. Let’s play: Simon says. (about 10 minutes) a. Goal: To identify and say b. Input: Picture cues: C/c, cat, cake, car, cup, B/b, book, bike, ball. c. Outcome: Pupils can correctly point and say d. Procedure: Step 1: Have pupils look at the pictures. What Whole class letters can you see? Look at me and make letter B,b,C,c Step 2: Explain how the game is played. Whole class Step 3: Divide the class into two teams. Teams Step 4: Have the whole class play the game. Teams Step 5: Give SFs to the winner. Teacher 4.
