1 Monday, August 12th 2024 ENGLISH 5 UNIT 5: MY FUTURE JOB LESSON 1 - PART 1, 2, 3 (PAGE 34) I. PROCEDURE Warm-up -Look, listen and repeat- Listen, point and say- Let’s talk - Fun corner and wrap-up Pupils’ Note Procedure Teacher’s activities activities Warm-up: (2-3 minutes) Goal: to get pupils ready for the lesson - Greet the class Greeting T - Sing a song: What do you do? KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTION Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat (8-10 minutes) a. Goal Listen and repeat the dialouge about the future job b. Input - Four pictures (part 1- page 34) c. Outcome Students can listen and repeat the dialogue about the future job as correctly as possible. d. Listen, point and say. (10-12 minutes) a. Input - 4 jobs (part 2- page 34) - Sentence pattern: What would you like to be in the future?” I’d like to be a ___________.” c. Outcome Ss can ask and answer the questions about the future job. d. Procedure *Introduce the new words: Whole class +reporter (by video) +gardener (by flashcard) +writer (by real object) +firefighter (by puzzle) - Aks Ss to read aloud the new words Whole class , individual. - Play game: Slap the board *Practise sentence pattern: “How many pictures are there?” Answer Quan Toan Primary School - Tran Thi Ngoc - English lesson plan - Class: 5A 5 - Aks Ss to read aloud the words in each picture Read aloud - T asks students to practise sentence pattern from picture a to picture a Pair work - T calls pairs to read aloud - T and other Ss check pairs, correct mistake and comment PRACTICE Activity 3: Let’s talk (10-12 minutes) a. Goal To enhance the correct use of What would you like to be in the future?” -I’d like to be a ___________.” to ask and answer about the future job. b. Input - Sentence patterns: “What would you like to be in the future? I’d like to be a ___________.” c. Outcome Students can ask and answer the questions about the future job. d. Procedure - T reminds students the sentence patterns - T asks Ss to read aloud the sentence patterns - Divide the class into three groups Group work - Work in group with the same hobbies: interviewing, drawing, singing. Then each group go to the board and perform - Comment Wrap-up: (2-3 minutes) - T asks some questions: How many new words have you learnt? Answer the What are they? questions. What sentence pattern have you learnt? How do you feel today? - T gives comment of the period.
